Tastefully Simple Lovers...

If you loved the Tastefully Simple Fall and Winter Products, your last day to place orders is Feb. 28, 2007. Remember that they are retiring the Sweet 'n Sassy Mustard Sauce and the Howlin' Horseradish on that same date. I have never had the Howlin' Horseradish, but I hear that several consultants are very surprised at this, so it must be a good one. So if either of those products sound extra yummy get your order in! Our Spring and Summer line starts March 1, 2007 and I am excited about those products, I have tasted several of the new items and have loved everyone of them. I am having 2 open houses in the Carmel area, so if you are interested in attending, let me know and I can get you the information, they should be fun you may even receive the host benefits if you come!

Oh the Memories...

Look at that smile! This past weekend I got to see my neice Kourtney and her dance team perform. Her team took 2nd place in this competition! They have a state competition this coming weekend in Indianapolis, so I am hoping to be able to watch her perform there as well. This past competition was at my high school and boy did it bring back memories! It seems like just yesterday when I was in that gym cheering and dancing, those were some fun times that went by way too fast. I am so proud of Kourtney, she smiled and danced her heart out, they had a really good routine. This is her first year on the BeeBopper Competition Team. Keep up the good work Kourt...you looked great out there, you did an awesome job!

One more little announcement....

After three precious little girls, my sister found out that she is pregnant with her first born son! She is so excited! We will be having a little momma's boy joining our family around June! After little Cameron Noah is born I will have 3 nephews and 5 neices. I can't wait to meet the little guy, it's been awhile since there has been a little baby boy around!

After all that hard work...

So get this, as you can see in the picture below, I dug a 25 - 30 foot path in the snow so that Kari could get into her car without having to get knee high in the snow. Well, we leave for a bit and when we get back there is a black SUV parked there. I was so irritated. So I then proceeded to park in a different spot, but I got stuck and had to dig the front tires out. Once I finally got out, I tried a second spot with less snow, yep, you guessed it. Stuck again. So I shoveled out the snow again and finally just parked underneith the carport. I keyed the black SUV as I went up to the appartment! "Ya right, but for a minute I thought it might have made me feel better." Who does that! Come on, get a life buddy. It was an obvious, intentional path. If you didn't dig the spot out, don't park in it." I spent an hour and twenty minutes on that spot before the sun even came up. Kari was nice enough to capture a photo. :)

Our Snow Adventures!

Well, 5:00 AM came early after yesterdays 12" snowfall, an ice storm, followed by an evening blizzard. The snow drift was only about 4 foot this morning around every car in our complex. From 5:40 until 7:00 am I was out in the cold shoveling snow from around Kari's car and my van, only to determine that we would still be unable to drive out of the complex.
As you can see, our cars were buried. So, I guess we get another snow day. And what a perfect day to have one.... Valentines Day!

To start the morning off, Sota wanted to play in the snow on the porch and I thought to myself, "Hey, lets take her for a walk. We can walk to Meijers and get some coffee from Starbucks, then walk back home. Sota could use the exercise." What a dumb idea. We were frost bitten by the time we got home. It's 19 degrees with a wind chill of 3 below 0. For those of you living in California or Las Vegas, the only way to describe that temperature is, "Ouch". It's so cold it hurts. But, sota loves it.

There's the snow valcano in all it's glory!

She is the most precious little girl. We think she is so cute, even though we were both irritated with her because she refused to look at the camera. She can be as stubborn as nails sometimes, just like her momma.
Her little snow beard was so cute. After an hour in the snow she was wiped out. She went right to sleep when we got home. Mission Accomplished!

It's Coming Along!

Kari and I went shopping yesterday to get some supplies for her Tastefully Simple display. She has her first party in two weeks. Her mom will be hosting her first party. Soon after that she will be doing a fundraiser for the women’s ministry that her mother is a part of and then doing two Mystery Host Open Houses at our apartment’s amenities centers. She hopes to get a lot more parties booked from these events.

SNOW DAY

Sota was so excited to finally get out in the snow again today. Due to the below freezing temperatures we have only been taking her out for about twenty minutes on Sundays. She is so funny to watch though. She just runs and plays, sliding everywhere, burrying her face and eating the snow. She's so cute! If you look closely you can see that our fountain in the pond behind our apartment building has formed a little volcano, it keeps getting bigger with each day that goes by. We are both waiting for it to get too heavy and fall through, but until then it is something pretty incredible to look at. WOW!

I'm a Consultant!

I am so excited to have ran across a company like Tastefully Simple. After being a part of one Taste Testing Party I fell in love with the product and since then have become impressed with the values of this company and it's founder. I have chosen to become a Tastefully Simple consultant and am excited about my new side business. I attended my first conference this past Saturday and had a really good time, it was very motivating to see how successful other consultants have been and to see them recognized and rewarded for their hard work. The founder of this company Jill is amazing, she is an outstanding speaker, my mother in law would love her and her approach to not only running her buisness but to her success in life as well. To the side of this blog is my first monthly flyer announcing my personal specials, my Tastefully Simple Story and the featured recipe for this month. Please feel free to contact me to order any of our mouth watering gourmet food products, to host a party or to learn more about fundraisers or corporate gift giving. You can click on the image to see a close up of my monthly flyer so that you can get in on my specials for the month. Feel free to pass on my information to others who you think would be interested in Tastefully Simple, and you may just get a little Tastefully Simple Surprise for referring me!
