For Those That Care!

The third story garden is flourishing wonderfully! I can not hardly wait to get it in the ground when we finally get into the new house. :) You can only do so much on a porch...
Well, the tomato plant is coming up nicely. We have yet to find any little yellow flowers which means, no tomatoes. Soon hopefully. I am beginning to wonder if there will even be any. I am supposed to have some on the plant by late July I was told. We'll see.
I got two little cactus. Reminds me of little Ethel (grandma) every time I see them.

Last night we had a visitor. This thing was huge. It had to have been at least 23 inches long. I don't know where it came from and when I went to look for it today, it was gone.

Welcome to Our World Cameron!

Mommy and Cameron
The Little Guy

Cameron and his Aunt Kari

My sister Kristen had little Cameron on Tuesday June 26, 2007 around 5:22PM. David and I drove to Terre Haute last night to visit the little guy. He weighed 7 .5 lbs and was a little over 20 inches long. I think he looks like his daddy. Here are a few pictures and I am sure he will look completely different in the pictures we take of him this weekend, babies change so fast!

Changes... Changes...There are a ton of them!

With all of the changes that are coming me and David's way, I can't help but listen to this song over and over again:

If You say Go, We will Go. If You say Wait, We will Wait. If You say Step Out On The Water, and they say it can't be done, We'll fix our eyes on You and We will come.

You're ways are higher than Our ways and the plans that You have laid are good and true.
If You call Us to the fire You will not withdraw Your hand, We'll gaze into the flames and look for You!

Just to name a few of the changes that all of you may not be aware of... here they are:
  • We have a new house, which means we're moving

  • We just completed Foster Parent Licensing Classes

  • David is interviewing to move up the career ladder at Staples

  • We will have a new nephew on Tuesday

  • I am organizing a young married and newly married couples Sunday School Class

There are so many more details that could be posted on here, but they will all come in time.

So somewhat related but somewhat on a different note, David and I went to see Evan Almighty tonight. I know as a Christian we sometimes question if these sort of movies that play on biblical stories on a more humorous level are appropriate for us to watch, but I will have to say that this was a really good movie. Of course with any movie these days there are a few lines that really didn't need to be in there, but I got a lot out of this movie from even a spiritual perspective and it really gave me some much needed peace about where David and I are at with all of these changes, decisions we are making and through some of the criticism we are experiencing right now. I know that God is leading us and I am super excited about the journey!

Sota has a friend this week!

Mich came home with us this past week while Jerry and Mary Sue were in Jamaica on a missions trip. Mich needed a little place of his own so we took Sota's travel cage and made a little get away. Sota still tries to get up in there but, for the most part, this is Mich's safe place.

Surprise! We Got A House!

We'll tell more soon!

Wow, where to start?

Well as you can tell we haven't blogged in awhile. We have been extremely busy, I don't even know the last weekend that David and I didn't have something planned. It really is hard to update the blog once you haven't updated it in awhile, because you don't know where to start, what story to tell or what pictures to use, so I am sure this blog will be a hodge podge of all sorts. This past month has definitely been a month of birthdays, there was my birthday on May 25, my twin niece's birthdays on the 28th and my 15 year old niece Kelsey's birthday was on May 30! This weekend we will be celebrating my Dad's birthday, and then him and my mom are off to Jamaica for a Missions Trip! Wish I was going. Well I hope you enjoy our pictures from the past couple of weeks, we will caption each picture so you know what's been going on!

David and I got to watch our nephew Keaton's last soccer game of the season. This is him right before he kicked a goal.

This is our nephew Kaden who was probably having a very in depth conversation with us about Spiderman 3.

This is my niece Katelyn who officially changed her name to "Kay Kay"

David has become quite the gardener these days. I love the plants that have a lot of deep purple running through them, he is making some planters for me, they are a great touch to our porch! He has also been planting some fresh vegetables, he has a tomato and a pepper plant that are growing quite nicely! Wish I liked fresh veggies :) Maybe I could learn how to can them.

This is Sota just waiting for her chance to come out and dig up the plants that David just planted. She must have particularly disliked the squash plant that David had planted because she deplanted it on 3 different occasions before the plant was completely destroyed!

My Ducks! I have been begging David for them for at least two years now, and I finally got some! Yippee, aren't they pretty?
